Board Meetings are held on the Third Thursday of each month at Grace Brethren Church basement. We begin at 6:30.
Tamarack LOVES dogs!
There are MANY dog lovers in Tamarack! For over 30 years, pet owners have been taking their dogs for walks at ALL times of the day and night. Many residents have become friendly because of their dogs, some only know the dog's name, others stop to chat while walking. We don't ever want that to stop!
One huge reminder, you are responsible for your dog. Please remember to take a bag along with you to pick up after your pup! This isn't only for homeowners properties, but the dog walker's appreciate it too! It is disrespectful to leave poop in another persons' yard and unpleasant when left on the sidewalk or street.
If your dog is a "barker", please be considerate to your neighbors and attempt to quiet your dog. We have residents who work all different shifts and elderly homeowners who are sensitive to continued barking.
Dumpster Day was a huge success! We hope you were able to clean out some things that help you get more organized!!
CAUTION
Please be aware of the sidewalk work between the homes from Thorngate Cul-de-sac to Blum Dr. The sidewalk is still "under construction" and is very uneven!
Fort Wayne Trick or Treat will be on Friday, October 31st. The time is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you are handing out treats, please remember to turn on your front porch light!
REMEMBER - CURB APPEAL MATTERS!
As Fall approaches, so do falling leaves!! Please make sure to rake the leaves from your yards and sidewalks! If your landscape is overgrown, fall is a great time to pull weeds, trim or remove plants and make your property more appealing! We have a few homes for sale in the neighborhood and this is one way we can to help keep ALL property values up! Take a minute to read what Coldwell Banker has to say about Curb Appeal!
Did you know that keeping your home well-kept improves the market value of your property? Simple improvements include keeping your landscape trimmed, adding color by planting flowers. Slap a fresh coat of paint on the exterior for a fresh look. Keep your walkways and driveways in good shape! Some real estate experts suggest that enhancing curb appeal can increase a home’s value by up to 10%! Check out the attached website for more easy fix changes to increase your property value and help your neighbors property value at the same time!

School Days
School is in full session. Please be aware of the children walking or riding their bikes in the neighborhood. Elementary school hours are from 8:50 to 3:30. MANY families bring their children to school before 8:50 and traffic can get heavy.
Middle school and High school busses pick up on Tamarack Drive. Those school hours are from 7:20 - 2:25. Always stop when a school bus is stopped with its lights on and the arm out!
Did You Know???
Grass and Weed Reminders!!
When grass or weeds are at least 9 inches tall this becomes a violation of the city ordinance. If the city has to cut the grass or weeds, the homeowner is fined. Any use of the sidewalk that impedes or blocks pedestrians is considered an encroachment and is a violation of the City’s ordinance. This can also lead to a fine from the city, to the homeowner. Don't let that happen!
We don't always think about the sidewalks in front of our homes, but it is the homeowners responsibility to keep them clean and clear!
If you notice a home in violation, please contact the TCA Board so we can gently remind the homeowner of the rules before the city is involved!
A Shared Committment - A.C.A.
As a resident of Tamarack we have a shared commitment to our neighborhood. As per our covenant, an Architectural Control Application (ACA) form article 7, must be completed and submitted to the board before beginning a project. This is vital to the stability of our neighborhood where everyone complies to the same set of guidelines. Although we are within the city limits, OUR covenant takes precedence.
As per our T.C.A. EASEMENTS AND PROTECTIVE COVENANTS, RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS Article 7

Architectural Control: No building, fence or wall shall be erected, placed or altered on any building site until the construction plans and specifications thereof, and a plot plan showing the location there-of, have been approved, as provided below, as to ground floor area, quality of workmanship and materials, harmony of external design with existing structures. Out buildings constructed after the approval of these covenants are limited to one storage shed of not more than 150 square feet footprint one story high per lot, and must be constructed of materials consistent with the dwelling on the lot.
Application for building, fence, or wall construction shall be submitted in writing per above to the Tamarack Civic Association Board. The board shall respond in writing within 30 days of receipt of the application.
